Disinfect before you Dive

Before you dive in the pool, you usually look at the water if it is clear and dirt-free. If we are satisfied that the pool is clean, then we dive right in. What we overlooked sometimes is that there are still more dirt than we think in the in the pool but it cannot be seen with the eyes nor can be felt. Haven’t you ever noticed sometimes after you swim you felt itchy? This may be the cause of bacteria or germs living in the water especially in  public or commercial swimming pool. Aside from the bacteria or germs, there are also the algae that can be found in the floor and wall of the swimming pool.

There are pool chemicals used to clean the water like Acids, Water Clarifiers Algaecides and other chemicals which are hazardous for both swimmers and other pool equipments. It is important to consult a specialist before using the chemicals in the swimming pool on how to use it properly and make sure that the pH is well-balanced. Even though you are thinking that it is okay that you do not use the right chemicals in your pool because it’s the winter season or for what ever reason your pool is not being used at the moment, you should be aware that when you leave your pool untreated for quite a while it will also distinctly harm other pool equipments or cause damage to the walls and floor of your pool itself.

Pool supplies like chlorine is one of the common chemicals used to clean and disinfect the water and the pool. Algaecides prevent the algae to grow in the pool water and in the walls. There still other ways to clean the pool, the Shock or the chlorine stabilizer that is used to maximize the effectiveness of the chlorine. When shock is used, usually the pool is not to be used for hours or maybe days.

Though these chemicals are expensive, the benefits are quite rewarding. Having a clean and safe swimming pool will not only give happiness and enjoyment but worry-free feeling and satisfaction not just to the swimmers but also to the owners.
